Micro hydro pelton turbine(impact water turbine) is a hydraulic prime mover that converts water energy into mechanical energy by drawing a free jet with kinetic energy by means of a special water guiding mechanism, rushing to the runner water bucket, and rotating the runner to do work. In impact turbines, the relative positions and working times of working jets and runners can be divided into impact turbines, oblique turbines, and double-click turbines.

Pelton turbine suit to water head 100 to 1000 meters and with certain small flow. It could vertical and horizontal arrangement,nozzle numbers from one to six.Pelton turbine with feature of wide flow high efficiency region. It could start turbine with 10% of rated flow. Pelton turbine with one or two nozzles usually adopt horizontal arrangement, but multiple nozzle Pelton turbine adopts vertical arrangement.
